Is it just me being “Outraged of Barnsley” or am I right to be outraged at the discussion I’ve just heard on Sky’s Sunday Supplement programme. They were discussing the Barton incident and although I know they have to be careful there wasn’t even a single mention of Daniel Stendel. It was all about Barton having trouble following him around and a shame that he might be prevented from developing his potential as a coach. Outrageous.

Exactly like you said they can only talk about his past and his coaching prior to 16:50 yesterday. They're sharpening their knives though and rightly so.

If they arrested him yesterday they've got until 17:00 - 18:00 to charge him. Or he may have to attend a local nick some time this week to be interviewed with a view to charging him. My guess is the latter because knowing of how understaffed police are at weekends, they won't have anyone to deal with it within PACE timeframes.

I thought exactly the same. Compassion for Barton having potential of being good manager but zero comments on the welfare of Daniel. Then turns all the wrongs of the game back onto fans. Then i remembered the program is a debate amongst journalists.
