I doubt it very much. The BBC coverage is universally accepted as excellent. And what about the adverts? You really are a sky gimp.
Have you looked at the link? It says there will not be no adverts and theres been loads of complaints about the bbc. Look at how others sports coverage as improved on sky. BBC vs sky on football league highlights for example or old coverage of cricket on channel 4 vs skys coverage. Just Know comparison.
Just one more depressing example .. of a now popular sporting event being snatched away from many people who will no longer be able to watch. I'm not a F1 fan, but I know lots of folk who are who will no longer be able to watch one of their favourite sports, simply because they won't be able to afford to take on the expense.
only one complaint i have about the bbc is that they didnt bring James Allen over from ITV... instead we got stuck with that Jonathan bloke who was dull has dish water
There will be complaints about sky's coverage, people like to complain. I admit sky are good with sports, although I thought Ch4 did the cricket well, but I stand by my comments about F1 on BBC, fantastic. And you are still a sky gimp.
I know Comparison Bob Comparison, lives in Birdwell. He don't like it when there not be no adverts. He's originally from Somerset.
Channel 4 where good but sky are brilliant with it. They are helping the game change for the better. T/20 wouldn't have took off without it i don't think. The referral system wouldn't have gone the way it as without it because the Indians and south Africans ect will not put know money in. What ever you think about football on sky the coverage as improved.
Re: I know Comparison Didn't his daughter marry James Price? Can't be arsed with double barrelled names personally but each to their own
Football on the beeb has always been good. And it is 'no' ffs. Can't believe I am arguing with someone who doesn't no (sic) the difference.
Another sport we have to pay to watch when peoples money is getting tighter. Not a sport you can go to the pub and watch either.
I can't believe i'm arguing with someone who's trying to say that the coverage will NOT improve under sky.
Whether it improves or not I'd argue it won't, but I can't prove that, the fact is that far fewer people will watch it. Definitely in this country, but probably so in other areas of the world as many countries bought the commentary plus the pre and post race analysis from the BBC. Maybe they'll buy a similar package from Sky, but maybe they won't. As a result I'd argue the sport will suffer in the long term. If you have fewer people watching your product the sustainability is compromised.
