Went to London Studios to the filming of "An audience with Al Murray". It's the TV format where most of the audience is made up of d-list stars but there's also a section for the general public. Strangely, the wife and I got put in with the 'stars', so we ended up sitting next to Ian Mckaskill and his wife and Johnny Ball.
Unfortunately the seat next to Abi Titmuss was already taken.

We can all look out for you when it's on Did you get the VIP treatment as well? Is Al Murray good live - always wanted to get tickets

You should see me on the box I think At one point Al says - "and Ladies and Gentlemen, we have Johnny Ball in the audience!" and then he plays a few gags off him. I'm the scruffy one in the glasses and blue top just behind. I'd spent the afternoon painting my flat and didn't have any idea I might be on telly, so didn't really smarten meself up!
Ididn't know too much about Al Murray before going, but during the bits when they weren't filming he really kept the banter going - he was really good, definitely worth seeing. He gave Edwina Currie and the horse-racing bloke (Mckrewik?) a bit of a slating, as well as the BB girls, Jodie Marsh and the like.
