You know where to find me on Saturday if i'm wrong !!!

TV's will be on in East Stand from now on. Outside maintenance company have been in this week and sorted problem.

Ponte Car Park. Just to confirm no physical bodies will control car park after games. Although Traffic Management Company involved this season,no after game involvement. The top gate has been closed to stop cars trying to form two rows down Grove Street, stopping any residents coming from Pontefract Road. Cars for Cundy Cross should leave by left gate only. Cars for Town Centre right hand gate only.

Everton sold just over 2000 so far, heading for 10,000 plus on Wednesday. Not bad considering on Sky.

So we've emitted a traffic management company who will be actively...... Not managing traffic at all. well done there then.

I've seen people on Grove Street using both sides of the road and completely blocking it for anyone who wants to use if they are coming in from Pontefract Road. I don't know why they think it becomes a one way street at 17:00 on a Saturday afternoon.

Thank you bondy. Could you ask one more thing please regarding the carpark. Could you try to find out what the situation is with the carpark lights? With the uneven ground in the carpark and the glare of the floodlights it is a bit dangerous walking through the carpark for night matches but for some reason the carpark lights are never on. Is there a reason for this and would it be possible to get them switched on? I've even seen programme sellers parked up with their headlights on just so they can see

The bulbs have blown and the replacements are on the same purchase order as the scoreboard bulbs.

Ben tried ordering new bulbs but because oakwell is situated in tornado alley they need £3m structures per bulb to keep them in place with foundations reaching China

If you live near a football ground why the hell would you return home when a car park is emptying. Must have an IQ of 50

Shouldn't we be questioning the people deliberately driving on the wrong side of the road and blocking access to residents?

Or finish work at that time? Or need to go somewhere at a specified time? I live right next to Headingley rugby/cricket ground and return home from work just as most people have handily filled up my street with cars. We also sometimes go to the shops/out for food as people are exiting the ground. I have zero interest in rugby or cricket so I have no idea when matches are (even though it's probably the same day/time each week like footy).

So people who don't watch football have to be restricted to a curfew until football fans have gone home? Seriously? Why don't people just not drive on the wrong side of the road.

Don't buy a house bang next to a football/cricket ground if you dont want to have disruption once every 2 weeks.

Disruption isn't the point being discussed, it's beyond disruption having your road effectively closed because people are driving the wrong way down it and turning it into a one way street.

Most grounds close roads next to football grounds at the end of matches anyway.
Its not hard to plan your day so for half an hour you don't try and fight your way against thousands of people exiting a football ground.. if you choose to buy a house on an adjoining street.

I live at Oakwell, 100 yards from the ground! My take..........

I don't and have no right to complain as there's no residents parking rules in and around the ground. It was up for a vote a few years back but got knocked back. Too many folk didn't want to pay for a 2nd car and most housing doesn't have a driveway, garage! I bought a house right next to a football ground, I'm intelligent enough to realise it'll be busy on home games. That's par for the cause! I never have and never will complain (lived here 19 years so inc the Prem
    Season)............

What I do object to is folk blocking driveways, garages, corners, residents cars in, double parking etc just to save a couple of quid. If I came to yours (not the OP this is a general comment) and did the same no matter where you live then I'm sure you'd hold the same or a similar view!

So to sum up. Treat people as you would want to be treated yourself.

Course you can, every other bugger does  It's just on the street though. It's a right pain to be honest, we do have a drive but we have 2 cars so whoever gets back first has to park on the street to nab a spot so that the other one can have the drive, otherwise it can be a right walk from the car just to get to our house.

I'm the only one thinking 10,000 is pathetic?

I know it's on TV, but it's a bargain. It's reasonable for non ST holders. Find that really disappointing.

I'm dreading them making our street permit only as I don't want to have to pay to park my car. People are generally quite good here at respecting other people and not blocking them in, my only complaint is when someone parks in the middle (the street is all semi-detached so room for 2 cars between drives) and takes up two spaces for their one car. If the street is full I tend to just block our own drive. I bet people who don't know that I live there think that I'm being a right lovely person.

It was first car free here and £25 a year for a 2nd car. I've no idea why it didn't go thro! The 'hospital' residents got it thro but they've got it 365 days a year. Like I said I'm not bothered by folk who park ere properly. I've met a few that have 'struggled' to drive off but if u do it properly then it's fair do's.
