Small criticism of Ranger yesterday.....together with his plus points.

His plus points were that he won loads in the air, seemed to fly sky high to get the ball on his chest (and killed it stone dead at his feet), has speed to burn.
Negative....tried too hard to do it all himself. Won the ball and missed out on the easy pass to follow. eg 2nd half down the left, won the ball, beat a couple of defenders, then tried a shot which had no hope of getting near.... didn't see the 2 unmarked reds players at the far post where a nifty little cross would have put them in.

Great to see all his effort considering it was his first full game but he must try to see the bigger picture.

I think he's got his 8 goal target in his mind.

Never mind though.

 

yes looked good with room for improvements.
liked how he was chesting the ball down instead of just heading it.
still think he will miss out in tuesday night

 

Probably right about Tuesday. Vaz Te can feel hard done by if he doesn't play. Great to have options though.
