What was the team

And I've been to AFC Barnsley and Frickley matches where the pies and the beer are much better and much cheaper than what you get at Oakwell.

I reckon that will be the starting line up for the Swindn game

Looks OK to me. What did you reckon to Jarman on the left?

    That's cos clubs like these

either care more about the few that do turn up but also need to make sure they put summat good on because it's useful income for them

I increasingly get the feeling that all we care about is the exec suite

    Hope not...

Should bring Nardiello in for Conlon and Flinders for Colgan. Maybe bring Burns in aswell

Thought Jarman did ok...some good touches but appears a little lightweight in the Wroe way..one funny incident..he ballsed a cross up and could be clearly heard shouting oh **** at himslef...then apologised to two young Barnsley fans who werr stood yards away!! Still he's still only young aswell

Still believe defence needs serious attention

    Not long now is it!!

think Swindon's forward line will give us a few problems at the back...I hope AR selects the right keeper...

It just seems that all recent initiatives are to do with the exec side of things...maybe because they spend more money upfront...

    Sorry, bit pissed

Didn't notice Conlon and Colgan in there. Yes, Nardiello for Conlon and Flinders for Colgan. And maybe Tonge for Austin. So, to sum up, I was talking ballacks.

RE: Not long now is it!!

I still think we have a decent enough defence I just think we may lack a little bit of cover.

My team for opening match would be:

    Flinders
    Austin, Reid, Carbon, Williams
    Shuker, Tonge, Kay, McPhail
    Hayes, Nardiello

    Subs
    Colgan
    Hassell
    Conlon
    Jarman
    Burns/Wroe.

I also think when Kell is fit our defence will be more solid as he is a good shield infront of the defence.

Howard will do well for us on theleft, he will add some balance.

    I'd

only only disagree with McPhail..he has to work harder where ever he plays and I don;t think his heart is in it.

I think the defence is our weak spot...but the centre of the park is also quite worrying..I just worry we lack a bit of steel

still not long to go till we find out!!

    RE: Role for Jarman?

Interesting that he seems to be playing a striker in midfield, especially when good pundits have queried where goals might come from out of midfield this season.

If we are looking for a goalscorer who can play in midfield, I wouldn't mind a punt for Guiseppi Rossi again. He is described as a 'withdrawn forward', which I would read as a Ronnie Glavin. We could do with this alright. If the Tom Williams savings allows a season-long loan, he might fit the bill. Worth another look, or beyond our means? Only those who know have the answer.

I notice Rossi scored again yesterday.
