Thought I'd try and be topical.

Can I propose a new ban? Just a one off for one day this week on the bbs.

I don't think many people can claim that they haven't had a go at the club for something or another during Shep's reign. And while the current administration may have taken their 'eye off the ball' in many respects (genius wording) they certainly get jumped on for more then I can ever remember. I think many of us are guilty of looking for fault in any given situation. Today's example is the new website. "how dare it not be launched yet". Has anyone ever lauched a website? Technical problems are rife.

I'm just wondering if we could introduce a 24 hour ban for blatant club bashing one day this week. Say Friday for example to give everyone time to prepare. Site admin will have to put signs up at the entrance to every thread or I'll fine them £1000 obviously. But other then that, I see no problems

I know it's all about freedom of speech, but Monday mornings are depressing enough, even more so during the season of late. The website that hasn't been launched yet is ****......5 minutes is too long to wait for a season ticket? I've waited longer for a big mac ffs and they don't have to make notes when they're cooking it. I think we've lost all proportion somewhere.

    Absolutely

is there any wonder that the club consider the opinions expressed on here to be mostly irrelevant and ridiculous when they cant do any right at all? As for Monday mornings, I logged on and the first thing I read was business advice from Young Nudger, fu-c-k.ing hell fire..

What happened if you got paid at the end of the month and igt's the only time you could renew! Some of us got our forms late - so that was my fault! Some people with families to feed and houses to keep can't just puoll £300 out of thin air in the middle of the month:(( !

However, giving your customers so little time from recieving a renewal form to having to pay, it could be argued that the club should have expected a there to be problems.

I'm not saying that that excuses it but a lot of people get payed on the last day of the month etc and since renewals didnt come out till the beginning of june, the next pay day for a lot of people would have been the renewal deadline.

RE: Renewing on the last day

If you sit about waiting for a form then that's your hard lines.

And it's not as if it comes as a big surprise to anyone that ST's are due for renewal. They have to be renewed every year like.

I've always said that the club should make it easier to PAY for the ST as expecting everyone to stump up in full is unreasonable. But if everyone goes down to the box office at the last minute then I've no sympathy.

    Really!

Bit hard for me just to pop down from Liverpool - they get enough out of me to start with and have done for the last thirty years!

Hang on. ST holders know that if they want one for the new season they have to renew. What's up with ringing the club up if you don't receive a renewal for straight away ?

Fcking hell fire, some on here want their arses wiping.

    RE: Really!

I don't live in Barnsley. I can't just 'nip down'.

But I renewed a while since and the Club posted it out to me 1st class. I think that facility is available to everyone.

Ticket prices were released very late this season weren't they? It's hard for people to budget in advance for something when they don't know the cost so maybe they had to wait till they found out the price?

I budget for around the £300 mark every year but i'm lucky, i can afford to, lots of people cant just go and get £300 out of their bank account and just hope that ticket prices havent gone up, they have to wait until they know the final price before commiting themselves.

That said, if I turned up on the last day I would expect queues and wouldn't blame anyone for the fact that there were big queues, unless of course I got to the front and found only one person serving or something, in which case I think it would be only right to blame somebody for bad planning (though i'm sure there'll have been more than one person in on saturday).

Can't blame the box office staff for long queues on the last day, it's only to be expected but maybe with a little better planning this kind of thing can be reduced (again, not the clubs fault, you only learn from experience) and hopefully the dates for season ticket renewals etc could be changed slightly so that the final day for renewing is around the 5th of July or something and not on a saturday when the box office staff only work a half day.

RE: Renewing on the last day

When I went to renew the vast majority of people were paying by credit card anyway - it's not as though people haven't had a month or so to renew.

Even if the final day wasn't on a Saturday, that would make little difference as the last Saturday would always be busy.

    I'll say again

The club really should offer discount incentives to renew early and also offer some form of payment in installments.

BUT. We all know if we are going to renew. We all have an idea of what it'll cost give or take 20 quid and theoretically we've got 12 months to next seasons renewal.
