    Same here in Markfield

Set off at 7, did the mile and a half to the motorway. Roundabout was jammed, then couldn't get on the motorway due to the lorries blocking the slip road. Turned round and came home. Taken an hour to do the 3 mile round trip to the motorway.

Kev started at 6am at Stocksbridge,

rang about 7.30 to say it was snowing heavily but not to worry he'd get home via the bypass and M1.

Just heard on Dearne FM that A61 at McDonalds Tankersley is closed and traffic stood on bypass also problems on Dodworth bypass as it's icy.

I got the impression from last night's forecasts that the snow wasn't going to get this far north today. Barnsley was supposed to just get sleet.

Think the problem is broken down vehicles blocking the road (according to Radio Deedar)
