So Akinbiyi- mi cousin who's a Blunt calls him 'Akin bad buy'.......BUT So he didn't do nowt at the blunts except score a fantastic goal against the Wendys Other than that he did nowt............BUT I saw a program on tele (football focus I think) abart him at Burnley and he looked a fantastic player Big stong player, lot of speed - great finisher Must be geting on a bit nar tho..........quess at 32 years old
RE: He has had some really good seasons at this level definatly would not be my first choice but i would have him if we signed another striker as well as him, you could even argue that he is that experienced championship goal getter that people on here expect us to sign.
He might have... But not for a long time and he's never been a very good finisher. Wasn't bad at one time, but he's crapper now than ever.
RE: He has had some really good seasons at this level He doesn't get any goals anymore though, not since he left Burnley the first time for Sheffield United. Other than that you have to go back to 2000 since he was reasonably prolific.
http://www.clarets-mad.co.uk/news/loadnews.asp?cid=TMNW&id=393851 Owen Coyle has denied it! Fingers crossed!
He isn't he's possibly a bit faster. He was always more of an athlete and missed bags of chances for every goal scored. I'd be pretty pissed off if we signed him
Reading between the lines I think ...SM....knows summert here SM a week or so ago was saying we need two big strong fast players up front He went on to say something on the lines that this is the way of modern Championship teams If the rumour is right about Akinbiyi then it looks like this is exactly what Simon Davey is looking for So it seems SM is sort of in the know.................so is SM connected to the club in some way or what ???
Or does Simon Davey think that SM is all knowing and follows his advice on the sort of player to sign?
He is not big and fast tho` he cant run anymore! He will fit in with our strikers anyway, he cant score either!!
