Give me a credible alternative candidate who's going to come in and do a better job in these circumstances.

Including Andy Ritchie's few months in charge, he's now the 4th manager so far who's failed to get us away from the heights of 17th place in the Championship. Given the same financial backing as Davey or Robins, he'd probably do a better job of achieving it, IMO.

Someone please point out to me which of the queue of likely candidates who'd be beating down our door would be the miracle worker to change this for us.

Hill isn't the problem here, but I look forward to being convinced otherwise.

    And so it starts !!!!

Everyone that thinks hill is getting things wrong now has to provide a name so that , they can be called a fool etc and that manager wont come, he is ****, he would not do any better because we have no money etc etc etc. Yadda yadda yadda!!!!!

Firstly I think you need to face up to the fact that he isn't doing a good job, once we get past that, then we can talk about alternatives.

Keith would be in dreamland given the same budget as Davey or Robins. I do agree with you that nobody could do a better job than Hill so let's back him, give him some time and let him show us how good a manager he is.

He's arrogant, stubborn, has zero contacts at the higher levels of the game, tactically inept, can't motivate, can't win football matches, in fact his record is shocking. mmmmmmm, let me think, well I would say we can't do any worse and therefore there's plenty of options out there. All managerial appointments are gambles to a degree. Who would have thought that Danny Wilson could achieve what he did. We need a bit of luck with a new appointment. But at least there will be hope again.

Believe me we could do worse than Hill, a lot worse.

So, in summary, 4 replies so far, 3 from the anti-Hill mob (see what I did there?) and no names!

I am not in the anti Hill mob, read my posts, I have never once said we should sack him. But to say that there is no-one else that could do a better job is silly.

I haven't got a scooby doo who is available, so how can I suggest any names?

All I do know is that the man in charge, is spoiling my enjoyment of going to oakwell. I came within a cats whisker of not renewing my season ticket and now I wish I hadn't. I don't like what he says and I dont like the way he plays his football, so why would I want him?

[x] Still no alternative name suggested, I see.
[ ] Thanks to the sparkling debate and dialogue on this thread I can see clearly now why firing Keith is such a fantastic option for us!

It's not up to the people who don't want him sacked to name alternatives.

Im sure there are lots of better managers around who can keep Barnsley's schizoid fanbase happy if only they were given the chance. No point in looking too hard.
