According to Don Rowing. I think those who thought that there would be a lack of suitable candidates applying for the job may want to have a rethink. Yes I know it doesn't necessarily follow that the club will appoint from these candidates, but it does show that the post of manager of BFC can and does attract a lot of interest.

    Couldn't agree more.

BFC is a Championship club, flirted with premiership in recent times, reached FA Cup semi-final, a ground of 23K capacity, on site training academy and facilities....and are run with a working profit.

I would say we are a very good proposition for our new manager, whoever that may be.

Totally agree. It's also worth pointing out that the majority of sackings over the last decade were justified, and called for by the fans at the time. The Board get hammered on a daily basis, but look at what we've built, on pitiful attendances. On top of what you've already pointed out, we're the longest serving Club in the second tier and trading in the black, from the brink of extinction after the digital collapse.

So let's give them a bit of credit for that.

Well the board appointed them so if they did deserve to be sacked then it follows that they've failed to successfully appoint.

If I had to sack 10 people i'd appointed in 11 years then I wouldn't be very good at my job.

Any manager from the top 10 divisions could apply, it's the quality of applicants. We could have 30 managers from the non-league apply or Scottish 1st division.

Pitiful crowds? We averaged 13,500 a few seasons ago. The crowds have dwindled because of the pricing, the football served up by consecutive managers and the disengagement of the fans by the club.

Actually thats an unfair statistic as the current board havent been in place for 11 years we have had 3 managers in the last 6 years appointed under Don and Barry and thats not actually bad these days. Even if you go back to appointments under Cryne you have only another 2 to add Hart and Ritchie in 3 years so 5 managers in 9 years is still not spectacularly bad - almost all had a fair chance before being removed,

The club will appoint someone people don't like and them we'll have a long discussion about who we should have had.

That is a fair point, but then you could argue that this board weren't responsible for the only change in manager in that period that lead to any real progress.
