about the club can anyone tell me how much it would cost For putting in a few extra phone lines to cope for a week and employ some temp staff to handle the bookings for non locals To put a few extra staff on turnstiles so that those locals queueing dont have to queue all day To implement a proper system of categories to get their tickets (like the one we used to have) As for being too critical i think the criticism is justified when simple steps could have been taken to avoid putting the supporters through so much hassle
Hope you feel as good about it when you're old, possibly ill, maybe disabled.
There's nowt clever about being able to stop up all night, we've all done it in our time so don't come chelping on how devoted you are.
Fact is there are better, simpler and more downright humane ways of doing the job than having people standing in a queue for hour after hour in the cold.
Even for the daft buggers that want to do it so they can brag about it.

Ther are better ways of doin it i agree, but THIS time the case is simple: Get down as early as possible and the you are more or less guaranteed a GOOD ticket
And sod the guy who sits behind me, 75 years old and just out of hospital - who was probably supporting the Reds before your dad was born.
There are plenty of supporters who are just as worthy as those who think standing a night in the cold proves their devotion.
But then it's I'm alright Jack and **** you these days.
