Carl Fletcher is the scout that watched him, his former Plymouth boss

That sounds like a move that could happen. They've already slapped a £5m bid in for some foreign striker.

I love Conor. Think his delivery of a set piece is best I've ever seen at oakwell. However he is not ready for premiership football.

Could see a loan back deal happening. Anywhere around £2m is fairly risk free given the £100m they have, gives us CH for another year where he'll hopefully develop and get us promoted. Then next year if bournmouth come down he should be ready for championship, and if they stay up he may get sold on.

I really like Conor and want him to stay. However, talented lads are bound to attract others and so you can only hope we're paid good money for his (or others') services.

Not just Conor, as we have a few players who I would be sad to see leave. But if Bree, Smith, Holgate, Davies, Winnall and Scowen carry on playing like they have been playing the vultures will be circling. Thing is, with the management team we have in place now at least we should get a fair price should one of them leave.

Stop trying to put a downer on this place :( If he goes it should be for around five million and with a future sell on.

As mental as it seems he'd suit premiership football more than championship.

You get a lot more time on the ball which would be a massive benefit to him & if you can deliver a set piece at one level you can do it at any

As much as I like and rate Hourihane I would be really surprised if Bournemouth made a bid.

If they do make a bid it will be the first time this new regime is really tested. Hope they stay strong.

    ^^^This^^^ with nobs on.

Best thing for his career is to stay with us, continue his improvement and secure a transfer to a higher placed club when he's ready. But there's no doubt about it, the best thing for his bank balance right now is a move to Bournemouth. He'll be offered 10x plus what he gets here on a contract that will buy him a big house and fancy car, and a bungalow for his mam and dad, and, if he's careful, he'll be set up for life.

And it's not like he owes us anything. Just a few weeks ago he was booed off when subbed. It was a minority of fans, but a minority significant enough for him to have heard it.

Couldn't agree more. Pretty shoddy treatment for player of the season. I'm sure he would jump at the chance.

Oh well hopefully LJ will find another gem that will carry us next season and we can all slag them off until they leave too.

How do we know that Bournemouth were actually there? If they were, how do we know they were there to watch Hourihane?

I checked the National Rail website. I based it on Conor living locally to Barnsley and his London based lass I picked Kings Cross station. Barnsley to Kings Cross is only around half hour slower than Bournemouth (if he signed for them) to Kings Cross. So if he joined them he'd save barely an hour travel time on a return journey.

By coming all the way up north to us he saves an hour each way travel time because Plymouth to Kings Cross takes around 4 hours and Barnsley to Kings Cross around 3 hours.

I really don't know what to say to this intriguing bit of investigative snooping!

The attention to detail is mesmerising! It's akin to a military style journal assessing enemy tactics and logistics. Fantastic effort.

Ps you forgot to factor in the 1000% wage rise, the astronomical signing on fee and the attraction of a very wealthy 3 year contract with a Premiership team! Fook the 30 mins travel time Connor, you'd be a fool, stop in Cudeth.

All of that will be forgotten when LJ sits down with Conor and gets the Train Line app out. He will sign a new deal immediately!
