I don't particularly know what went on with Broadfoot and whether he was going to be used as a full back or centre half. What I do know is Adam El Abd was one of five defenders Flitcroft wanted. We haven't necesserily missed out on our first choice in El Abd and I'm sure the other four centre halves (three if Broadfoot was one of them), all won't turn us down. Common sense prevails to stay with Brighton. He's a legend there and a new boss may play him more regularly and to be fair, they are better then us at this time.
its just that I would feel a lot more comfortable with 2 new defenders and another striker too. I think we are good to go in mid-field. But I am also sure Mr Flitcroft will get it sorted out.
Re: its just that Did we actually approach Broadfoot? Or could it have been a rumour by someone on a bulletin board?
