No deal putting them on the spot like that won't work this early on in the transfer window we've just made ourselves look like idiots who think they are big shots
Better we hung on until deadline day and be held to ransom then give them chance to get more parties interested and up the ante
I think Deal personally And i think its a smart decision giving them a deadline to accept or reject the offer. Saves all the pissing about.
If thats all we are going to pay its the right thing to do, we can move onto the next target without panicking at the last minute.
I'd like to say deal because i think he would be a promising player for us BUT i don't think Chesterfield will be entertained by being "bullied" into selling their best player to a team for £400.000 when by all accounts there is in total 8 clubs looking at him. I think they would love a bidding war where they will get stupid money for an unproven Championship player and i say fair play to them. On the other hand this could be the exact reason Barnsley have put this "take it or leave it" deal...if that makes sense? lol
The step up is not an easy one If we do sign him I hope a big man is to join him. We already resemble the diddy men at times
I think he'll offer more up front than any other striker on our books except maybe macken. Hes small theres no doubting that but he's very quick, agressive and direct with his play.
RE: The step up is not an easy one I'll probably get shot for "spamming" for putting my two penneth in here (because of the signature), but there's a prospect at Bury who may be worth taking a look at. At 6 foot, his stats are better that Jamie Ward over similar appearances and is Six Foot tall. I agree the step up is a tough one, but you have to look at what we have currently have and ask if they could be any worse?
No Deal He wont sign for anyone until the end of the month - could easily be us if we havent found anyone else by thetn
Reading Daveys comments in todays Star is reckon the deals already done. If its straight cash, dont see a problem. If it involves a player swap, it could still fail, as weve seen previously. Still hoping for a left back/midfielder.
