I've got a lovely N gauge layout and am about to start building another.
Got the Brighton Belle, Midland Blue Pullman and a 15 car set of Orient Express coaches, all with lights fitted (by me). Plus other various locos, carriages and trucks.
It's nice and relaxing to just watch the trains go round and round !!

    Got one

bought it bit by bit for my 2 sons, it's currently in a box in the attic.

Engines include a B12 (final rebuilt form), Royal Scot, a GWR 14XX tank, a diesel D3XXX shunter and a Metro Camel 3-car DMU.

The kids loved playing with it - for 5 minutes - so I spent the best part of an hour getting it all out and making a layout, then 20 minutes putting it away again.

Used to own one as a teenager. 15' X 10' layout. In my mid 30s I bought a watchmakers lathe and scratch built LNER Class B2 (Valour) and A3 (papyrus) sold them to Crownline Models in Maidenhead for a tidy sum.
