First of all, Ritchie has been treated disgracefully. It's just not acceptable to treat a man like Andy Ritchie - who has worked hard and given so much to the club - in the manner that he has been treated. If you want rid of him, do so in a dignified manner. We owe that man a lot.
Secondly - we are back into a dangerous spiral of sacking managers. When Ritchie arrived I genuinely hoped that we could hold onto him for five years, and then only let go of him under duress from another interested club. We have shown no loyalty to Ritchie at all. The first sniff of trouble and he's gone. Fickle. Fickle. Fickle.
Thirdly - we have no replacement lined up, there is no plan in place, we are working off the cuff and pissing in the wind. Nobody knows who we will get in as a new manager - who we could attract. Who the **** would want to come to us with the kind of chairman we now have, the lack of resources and the unrealistic expectations of the fans - who let's face it, can be as fickle as the board quite easily.
Relegation fodder now.
This may sound controvertial, but I'd try and get Wilson back now. It would stir things up a bit and may rescue a little bit of interest from the fans. Talk about Redfearn is silly talk - he might have the credentials to be a coach, he's certainly not a first team manager. McCarthey would be daft to leave Wolves for us. I would love to see Winstanley back as number two.

All valid points I think (bar getting Wilson back) My big worry is that with the Chairman going public with his criticism on Richie's management approach and how it could be done better, who would want to come and join us ? Could be a long wait or a dissapointing appointment.
We've been at the bottom for all 18 games? Are you sure? We weren't mid-table at one point then? You need to take notice of some of these stats you keep spouting. I bet you're happy now?
Point is - with Ritchie we has a slim hope. At least he could get the players going. Shepherd has done nothing but demoralise everyone involved in the entire club. I'd lose Shepherd before I'd lose Ritchie.
The Chairman is an absolute joke - at least Ritchie had some good qualities. With the correct support Ritchie could have developed into an exceptional manager.

And we were playing exciting football. Admittedly, not in the last few games. If we'd strenthened I'm sure we'd have been okay. But AR didn't get the chance.
Before I begin I am a big fan of A.R and myself and thousands of supporters will be eternally grateful for getting us out of the alehouse league last year. The board of B.F.C have a duty to themselves and to all the supporters to try every avenue to keep us in the Championship.Although I've been entertained at every game I've been to deep down myself and many others know the squad isn't strong enough to keep us up.If the official statement is true and Andy showed a reluctance to strengthen we wouldn't expect the board to sit back and watch us sink without a fight.A very sad day for the club, the fans and Andy Ritchie.Lets hope the board has contingancy plans to give us more than a fighting chance of staying up and moving on to better things in the future.
