Maybe get in a specailist striker coach to help our strikers out Just on Regards to our coaching staff and managers playin careers. O'Hanlon was a Keeper, Kidd was a Defender and Davey was a DEfensive midfielder Noticing in a pattern?? Anyone?
Yes i agree. We need a mentor for the strikers. Could do them the world of good to learn a few things Eg. putting the ball in the back of the net!
Anything's worth a try but can't remember Ian Rush doing much for us when he worked withnour strikers a few years back. I'm more worried about the fact that ever since pre season when the Fitness coach siad we're fit & free from injury, we've had one injury after another ...... well, that and oven cleaners
you don't want to know what I thought that post said yesterday I'm not really sure that I know what I thought it said actually
Yep, agree about a coach for strikers but at the same time I am a little worried that with so much defensive experience on the coaching staff we still have a defence that cant keep clean sheets.
Could always give the fitness coach a go up front! look like he's got a decent touch, and he's only one that seems interested in half-time 'warm-up' with subs
I think Spackman brought in Ian Rush didn't he? And that was a complete failure.
As for managers, we had far moreattacking side under Hunter than either Clarke or Hendrie say.

You can't coach people to finish - it's natural You can show them where to go but not how to put the ball in the net
It's the other way round in my opinion. The movement is natural & to be able to anticipate where a ball is going to end up but the finishing can be coached. But I've never even played football so it doesn't matter.
