before the premier league season starts it seems. But the EFL always starts a week before them, this article for me throws up many many issues. It says the prem can sell up to the 31st to clubs outside the top flight , but not buy. So if that rule is applied similarly to the EFL then we will not be able to buy after the season starts so that would rule out buying from a prem club... and who could we sell to?.... The idea of shutting the window seems great to me, but it needs a whole lotta planning. Maybe if the EFL and Prem all started on the same week-end could be a help to it all....but then we have to look at the dates the window shuts on Europe too, the whole thing is a minefield it would seem.
