Clear as mud "Any sanctions for accounts relating to the 2013/14 season will continue to take effect as intended (and in accordance with the amounts specified at the time)." So will the transfer embargoes go ahead - or be appealed out of time? Vote was carried by the 75% margin needed because Burnley and Barnsley - both of us stalwarts behind FPF - left the division.
Am I being naive or haven't they just reviewed it's implementation (as seems reasonable) both Leicester and QPR would still have failed
Premier League clubs can lose £35million per year and Championship clubs £13million. That really makes it a level playing field. Whats up with clubs can lose £0 per year and lump it?
Championship clubs will have their financial performance continuously monitored over a three season timeframe and will be permitted to lose up to £15m during that period without having to be prescriptive over how that loss will be funded. In addition, they will be permitted to lose more than £15m, but not more than an aggregate of £39m (compared to an equivalent figure of £105m in the Premier League) but will be subject to additional regulation when doing so. ^^^^^^When I first read it, it kind of made sense, but the more I've read it, the less I understand. They're allowed a £15m overspend/loss over three seasons but they're allowed an additional overspend/loss of 'more' than £15m but no greater than an aggregate of £39m. Eh? Baffled. But aye, I always said it was a load of ******** and this proves it. You can't bring something in like that and then shift the goalposts when certain *ahem* favoured clubs (Leicester, QPR) have got into the league that wants them there, whilst the unloved such as ourselves and Blackpool who have adhered to the rules (the only clubs to do so I would imagine) have suffered for doing so. Football's ******. Not said it in a while, but it's reight. I hope Paddy multiplies his fortune and takes the piss in the next few years and we spend like idiots. Seems it's the only way to prosper.
I hope he multiplies his fortune, and spends none of it on the club because we put together a team of freebies, cast-offs and young-uns that tear through this division, the Championship and take the Premier League by storm all while sticking to the principles of FFP and making a profit as a club. It'll never happen, but I would feel a lot better about success achieved the right way
**** me, when l think of clubs in debt l think of this scruffy lot, and they way they snaked out of it http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/219344-new-ffp-rules/
