Teams water their pitches so they can zip the ball about...

with their passing skills they'll love it. Quick passing football. Great to watch. No matter what happens with the weather we wont have an advantage whatsoever, if its cold our foreigners will put their gloves on just like theirs. Best we could hope for is an earthquake, we have the experience while as the Southerners only felt a tremor or thought they had knocked a fart out in their sleep.

I think they'll have enough quality in their side to cope

I'm hoping for decent weather and no strong wind, think that will help us as much as anything.

I think very heavy pitches are a bit of a leveller

    ball acts unpredictably.

Oakwell is hardly a bowling green either.

Only Anelka will wear gloves. Unless Alex plays.

We've had some awful pitches at the Bridge in recent years, so we should be fairly used to a bumpy surface - although it's been fine this season.

    What about Cudicini?

    I know, I'm a pedantic barsteward.
