So how do I get online commentary for the coming year?

Just looked at the site and I see that BarnsleyWorld is a UK only deal. A number of other online resources I've used have enforced this rule in the last year (Pandora, BBC, etc) so even if it's not enforced now I'm hardly going to part with my cash for a service I'm not entitled to. So my question is: is it possible for me to listen to match commentary for the coming year? Or does this disgraceful sell-out by the BBC of shutting off internet radio during commercial broadcasts leave ex-pat reds such as myself completely in the dark?

And before anyone starts, I'm a permanent UK tax payer and also a license fee payer whenever Mrs Burgundy Red and myself are in the UK. I just want to listen to the matches when I'm not.

I hope you're joking about the UK only thing. When did this start?

It says so on the official site. I've e-mailed them - I'll let you know what response I get (if any).

    Just had a look

The way I read it is the the "UK only" part applies to direct debit payments. Meaning you will need to hold a UK bank account to pay by direct debit. Otherwise its credit card only.

I'd be surprised if that's not the case.

    I can't see any reason...

Why it won't be broadcast worldwide.

My cousin in Oz listens so it better be!

RE: I can't see any reason...

I thought that it might be to do with only having bought the UK broadcasting rights.

As maasai tyke says, it may just refer to the direct debit (which would explain why it doesn't say UK only on the trial, although that also has an annual payment afterwards so I'm not sure). I'll wait and see what they say before I part with any of my hard-earned dosh. Well, not that hard-earned really but it's the principle, isn't it?

Yeah, reckon it's just the direct debit thing - I remember similar messages before.

That's how I see it, although I don't understand why

you can only pay by credit card by choosing the 7 day trial option. Also, why is it more expensive? By the way has anyone noticed how the club has changed names?</p>

    Response from Premium TV

"The service is available world wide the direct debit payment options are restricted to UK bank accounts."

Fair enough - nice to have it clarified, though. Think I might be treating myself to a subscription, then.
