.... Williamson, Reid, MacIndoe, off the top of my head, all top notch Championship players. Never mind, we have scooped Sodje from York City, take your time Simon ........ plenty of bargains left in Moldova and Belarus, get the press conference sorted for 5 August
"Top notch championship players" ...wouldn't quite go that far. All 3 are honest Championship toilers, I'd say that the Blunts' Premiership credentials are on the wane. These are very much upper mid-table signings.
RE: "Top notch championship players" Reid - unproven as a top Championship player McIndoe - Donny in lower leagues, Barnsley near bottom of Championship, Wolves when they were average and couldn't get a game half the time, then Bristol City who failed to make play offs last season - and they're happy to get rid. Williamson - Watford? What have they done recently? Then played for Preston who made play offs. I wouldn't say they're top notch, but yes they would improve our bottom 6 level squad. Big difference between top and bottom though.
Be reight though parachute payments plus whatever they got from West Ham means they are able to gazump anyone pretty much in the Championship. Beckford will be next no doubt, but they'll be paying way over the odds and the one saving grace is their manager chokes in the big games, as generally do his teams. They will be top 6, maybe even top 3, with their finances, so would we.
RE: "Top notch championship players" Mcindoe - made the play-offs the year before, and was one of their best players. Williamson - played in the Prem with Watford. Both good signings for most teams in this division, wouldn't say the same for Reid.
Of course they'd be good enough, you buffoon! Why don't you take your head out of your anus, and get a grip on reality. We can't afford to bring in those types of players!!!
Shef U are only bringing in those 'kind of players' as they are skitn and cannot oush the boat out for the players they would like to sign.
