so how many points will we get with current squad

Spread bets quotes now released by www.sportingindex.com (see below). Considering the recent posts about bookies giving us shorter odds than some of the other teams, it is surprising that they expect us to finish 2nd bottom. </p>

for those of you who don't understand spread betting, basically, you are betting per point difference between the original quote and the final position, rather than the traditional upfront stake at selected odds. With spreadbetting you are betting on the margin, and in theory could lose or win upto 20 X stake per point. For instance, say i think the tykes will get more than 51 points and bet £5 per point. If they end up getting 60 points i win £45, but if the end up getting only 35 points then i lose £80. Conversely, if i think we will get less than 49 points and bet £5 per point - if they get 40 points i win £45, but if they get 52 points i lose £15. if they get 50 points i lose £5 whichever way i go. So basically, you can potentially win a high amount, or lose a high amount. You are betting per point. If you are prepared to lose a maximum of £50 then you should only bet £2.50 per point, but in reality, if the swing is only 5 points you would only be winning/losing £12.50. Historically, I have had a good bet on barnsley, and 3 or 4 smaller bets on other teams. Last year i won high on barnsley, but lost on tranmere and southampton.</p>



<font size="4">So, the crucial question is, are we likely to bet more than 51 points, and what do you think is the minimum we will get. I will probably go with my heart rather than my head anyway.</font></p>

Additionally, does anyone have any thoughts on the other quotes e.g. does Cardiff look worth a bet at 62 points, or does Burnley look too high</p>
