    Not a big fan of this waiting around for money we haven't got.

    We may end up waiting around and Stones may not end up moving, meaning we've got to scrounge around over the last week of the transfer window....again. Can't be fannying around this summer as there's no emergency loans.

    Would much rather us sign players we can afford before the first game of the season.

    agreed , why would we be waiting for Stones money, we got promoted and thus..

    we should be better off .... we were told that the relegation to league 1 cost us £6 million for the coming season (last season in other words). So therefore by getting back up we should be better off by at least £6 million... so I put it to you all that we should not have to await a John Stones deal ...if ever it comes off, I reckon we will be awaiting that deal for a lonnnnnnng time. If we wait then we will run the risk of last minute barrel scraping deals, and we simply should not let that happen. We need to be as prepared ,and early, in order tto stand a chance of remaining in the Championship. Look at the teams we face and you better believe that its gonna be a ruddy hard slog for us.
    If we finish anything above 18th then we will have done well. Also remember they are trying to mess about with the championship tpp making it 20 teams. we need to be there.

    did I at any point say a lump sum

    no thowt not... but much was made about us losing £6million when we got relegated... so surely the reverse is that as we were promoted. That's why we surely could speculate and perhaps get some deals done... or do we want to be a Champ/L1 yo yo team... its quite simple really.
