being able to sit with their family that don't have season tickets, unless they give up their seat and sit somewhere else, randomly selected. Where someone will come along who "always sits here", and want them to move.

Should be fun.

I've got a season ticket thanks.

It's just that people who regularly sit with me can't always make it and therefore pay on the gate when they can.

What I'm saying is that you are bound to have hundreds who sit in the Ponty, who don't have season tickets sitting where they usually sit and people coming along with the ticket for that seat and being stuck in a nasty situation.

In fairness

what can the club do about it ??

If you want to sit together then you'll have to take an allocation which doesn't include your ticket as it is likely that the seats near you are held by season ticket holders. (or is it ?)[IMG]

Sounds great in practice..

experience means that it doesnot work like that. Some will want to sit where they always sit, regardless of what the tickets says.

Then it'll be upto the stewards to mediate.

And the stewards tell the person that doesn't have the ticket for that seat to go in their own seat.

Not rocket science is it to sit in the seat it says on your ticket?!

Yep I'm bloody disgusted. Im a ST holder, there's one spare seat next to me and I've shelled out for my six year old all season on an individual match basis. I even have the stubs to prove it. Been onto the club this morning and if I want to sit with him I've got to queue up with Joe Bloggs who might be going to his first match all season and get what is given at the turnstyle ! I then have to go back to the box office and queue for my away ticket. They've always been the same - couldn't run a bloody raffle !
Why they couldn't have sold them Sunday, Monday, Tuesday to ST holders on say a 1 + 1 per ticket basis and then put the rest on general sale on Wednesday, well can anyone tell me !
Absolutely P####d off.
Rant over.

And if you go get those from turnstyle

Your ST seat can't be sold so that's a ticket lost.

Crazy!

I thought you had said on this board that you sent your season ticket to the chairman 3 months ago?

I sent him a letter

expressing dissapointment with comments, with reference to sending him my season ticket back.

How that is relevant to a ticketing farce is beyond me.

i'm in the same situation

although my son is 12.

I also work in Sheffield so have to run the risk of gettign to the turnstiles at turned 7-ish and hope that queues aren't too long and then somehow queue for my away ticket..!!!!!

RE: i'm in the same situation

I'm as delighted as anyone that we are in the play offs, but its tempered by this ticketing fiasco. Surely the regular punters should be looked after first ? Last week I was praising the club for at last showing a bit of initiative and goodwill with cheap ST's for U11's and then they go and do this.
Sorry but it's a bloody joke.
