ok with the massive defeat and massive loss of senior players today, that may have rocked the confidence big time. I cannot see us getting any emergency loans in at this stage, or indeed if we are allowed. So we may have to bring in some of our younger lads earlier than we thought. OK we may not survive, but if the young uns are pressed into service I urge us all to get behind them. Otherwise their confidence indeed their futures may be adversely affected.
OK so now lets think about the worst case scenario , relegation. Its a dreadful thought of course, but I ask you will it stop you supporting Barnsley. I am sadly too far away(and work impeded) to attend home games that much, but would jump at the chance to be there no matter what division. But I have watched this team since the early 1960's in various divisions, and still with a huge love for my team too. Yes I accept I am one of the biggest miserable Meldrew Old Gits on this forum, its just that I hurt and exalt equally... is that a crime. JLWBL will, I Hope, back this sentiment up. He like me have stood on wet and windy terraces in what was the 4th division, and taken it as it came.
We all as Barnsley fans can be grateful for some great times along the way, some clubs have had nowhere near the roller coaster that our club has had. since the 60's we have had promotions/relegations across all the divisions inc' the premier. We have strode out on the Old and the New Wembley, and the Cardiff Millenium stadium. We have humbled the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool etc. This club will go on and give us those bitter sweet times.
If we can keep a good part of the squad we now have , add a few , then we will be in good condition for next term. And even if that's in league one, but hopefully with Mr Flitcroft behind us we will have a great season next year. He is the jewel in the crown right now IMHO.

so come on you REDS lets not get down hearted just yet, next season will be a corker, no matter what division we are in. YOOOOOO REDDDDZ

Errrrm oh and yes this is the real Dragon , and yes I am being positive on the back of todays disaster.... and no I am not drunk.........................not yet

    lolol
