Personally I think it would have been TM had the vote gone to the members. She's just been given a shortcut.

No - by dint of being the only plausible candidate.

The best candidate by a long long way.

Taking on a very difficult job.

Can't say she gives off much warmth or personality but will be efficient.

I'm just happy that the alien species that is Michael Gove isn't going to be our leader.

But yes it's a pretty depressing thought.

I'm no fan but at least she isn't Michael Gove or that dicksplash Boris Johnson.

    she's certainly the best one

    left now! :D

She would probably have won anyway and to be fair she will probably do a good job, just find it a bit disconcerting that the Whitehall bull brigade and Murdoch's press had a massive effect on it.
Still why leave it to the plebs to decide eh?

    Tory plebs.

Best to let them loose with as little as possible.

    Whitehall and Murdoch?

The great British public have spoken (while I've been away - though I did vote with the suitcases in the car at 7am on Independence Day)

Plus I've had the pleasure of seeing it all from an American perspective for 2 weeks plus.

The more the dust settles, the better it will be, this Brexit.

And Mrs May seems perfect to me for the job. Can you imagine Jeremy in her place?

Teresa May is the sole reason two of my (British) best friends can't live in this country. Unless they abandon their wives and kids that is.

Well Mr Cameron doesn't like Jeremy and thinks it will be better for him to step down from opposition to give his govt a better run for their money.

You couldn't make make it up ,
All in the name of democracy you understand , nowt to do with if he gets in he'll shake the fekin place to its foundations and run the rats ( all colours ) out.

The public voted for chaos and now that's well have for the next twenty years

Farage and his lies have effectively destroyed democracy in this country by making them all unelectable

The public voted to shake up the cosy Euro political, unaccountable elite.

And things will eventually settle down. Not that owt that much has changed.

Apart from you actually now know who it is you may be voting for and why. And what it is you get. And how you can change it.

    Hardly the destruction of democracy.
