It's because of Nicky Colgan, I'm sure if it was flinders everyone will be praising him and calling him god! COLGAN BEST OF THE BUNCH AFTER FOUR MATCHES BARNSLEY star Nick Colgan is statistically the most on-form goalkeeper in League One after the opening four matches. The Reds face faced 30 shots on target during the first weeks of the campaign with Nick saving 90 per cent of the efforts, conceding just three goals giving him the best goalkeeping ratio in the league so far.
Lies Damned Lies and Statistics eh Most of us agree that as a shot stopper Colgan is excellent, its his handling of crosses and organisation of the defence that his is weaker at than some. Personally I think he is OK at this level, but I have more confidence in Flinders -who seems an exceptional prospect. The defence isnt as bad as some make out.
Colgan shot stopper. He's ok at shot stopping when he has no time to think about things and just relies on his reactions. It's when he has to think about things ie coming out for crosses or when to come off his line when he's poor.
He's a good keeper His only down side is his deccision making, especially when to come out for the ball. I'd rather have him in at moment due to the number of penalties flying around
