So just assume for a moment that Cardiff win the FA cup

    Portsmouth are now unlikely to qualify for the UEFA cup via the league. They were 2 days ago guaranteed a place in Europe. And the reason they lose that guaranteed place is a last minute rule change before the final of the competion

    That hardly seems fair to me

    Also surely they would have a strong case for a legal challenge.

    Would they bother though in the UEFA Cup as there sole objective is survival in the Prem.</p>

    I dont see any point in the majority of the teams Englands has in the UEFA Cup bothering when they dont really care.</p>

    Decent dosh on offer playing in Europe - even if only the UEFA

    Also there would be some pressure from the fans I suspect

    but I dont know if they would bother or not. Not entered the Intertoto so Europe not that important to them.

    Bet if Pompey put on a late surge and finished 5th - pushing Everton down to 6th there would be trouble though

    I Hope Cardiff City Lose The FA Cup Final Even More Now

    It's no way fair that rules have been changed at such short notice, that have been around years. Cardiff are lucky to be in our leagues in the first place and there's no way they should be allowed to represent England ffs.
