So just how many extra Bfc fans do you think will turn up on Saturday?

Will this late campaign about the game being a Cat C make a lot of difference to the attendance?

If yes then do you think the club should sit up and take note?

    If not then what next?

Not very many more. Our average HOME support was 10414 of which 9,000 were season ticket holders so there wasn't that many paying last season anyway. I'd be surprised if we topped 11k for the Watford game what would make people come this year that didnt bother last, even at that price?

Can't see it having much impact at all tbh. People like to moan about the prices but now it is cheaper for a game they will come out with "I don't want to attend just one game". Club can't win on this one, unless they run at a loss.

Ive been nagging all morning to folk.......

And to be honest - More than a few have commented that the price isn't the reason they are staying away. Its more to do with lack of ambition as they see it by the club. Selling Hammill and then Shacks and being replaced by lower league players makes them think the club aint commited so why should they be.....

Correct Ponty. Some have no intention of going but like to use any old excuse for why they don’t go... It's too expensive, no ambition, blah blah blah. The bottom line is that unless we're playing Manure or Chelsea in the cup or Weeds in the league then a lot of 'fans' simply aren't interested. Still winds me up to this day that it is quite likely that some plastic fair-weather 'fan' got my Liverpool ticket. And yours too Ponty and lots of other fans tickets who deserve to go ahead of them.

Are season tickets automatically included in attendance even if they didn't go? Because if not we'll be 2 down as my mate and his missus aren't going!

How do you determine who got "your" ticket? Just wondering like cause I want to find out who got mine.

I think it's likely that people still won' come, as much because they'll have got out of the habit of coming.

I said it's quite likely which it is because there were 1000's of season ticket holders who couldn't get one due to the ridiculous four ticket policy. I know two people who got tickets for the game who hadn't seen Barnsley play since the premier league.

Weather on Saturday = 'heavy rain showers'. Will knock 250-300 off the support.

With about 500 away fans, I'm saying we wil just scrape 5 figures. Hwoever, all the best with the campaign. I know 6 going who don't usually.

got to be careful of looking at attendances in too much detail

because I've always thought to some extent the club just make them up, knock off 500 here and there that the taxman doesn't need to know about, I especially remember 1 game since we got back into championship we played Sheff Utd, was absolutely packed yet they announced an attendance of 17k, where were the 6 thousand empty seats?

Obviously that is pure conjecture and I might just be imagining it for non-derby games but it seems very often that the attendance is in the form 10,0** ie. often in the first hundred after a thousand, suggesting as I said above they knock off at least a couple of hundred, just a thought...
