A player makes a handcuff gesture in support of a drunk driving ex team mate and he quite rightly gets fined by his club Another player commits GBH on another player and puts him in the ICU - no action from his club.
After seeing the incident on Look Leeds tonight, I saw Blackwell's after match comment in the paper that "if the referee punished every incident like this with a red card there would be no one left on the pitch". I must be mistaken but I didn't see 22 vicious assaults take place - just one. I have to stop reading the stories on this now as I am winding myself up to distraction, but I just hope that Blackwell made those comments before seeing the incident again on the TV, and when he has, he now makes a further statement retracting his original comment. Of course, it won't happen. SUFC will now be protecting their position too much to do the decent thing.
