..... on Monday 28 January on SKY, so they want to play us on Friday 25 January so they get a bit of an extra rest.

Now, seen as we played Preston at home on Sat 3.11.07 and Blackpool at home (on SKY) on Mon 5.11.07, I assume that means that you can't change the fixture without the agreement of the team that you are playing.

So ...... does that mean that we have agreed to switch the game to a Friday night even though we didn't have to? They have, haven't they, even though there is absolutely nothing in it for us whatsoever, apart from pissing off the majority of the fans who were going to travel.

    I can't get my f**king breath

Seems Unbelievable! We're raising it with the club this afternoon so it will be interesting to see what they have to say and if there is any more to it than pandering to Southends needs.

    quality.

But if it is an asthma attack, probably best to go to casualty or call an ambulance on this occasion and maybe pop to the GP for repeat prescriptions in future.

Yep, that's right. We MUST have agreed to it because we were told that without both teams agreement to move the saturday game then our only option would be to turn down sky which any club is allowed to do.

    Barnsley look after their fans

    One problem with that

Barnsley haven't looked after their own fans have they.

Its crap, but I see the reasoning.

We play Southend on the Saturday, and Colchester on the Tuesday. Colchester are out of the cup so don't have a game, so have more time to rest and recover from injuries.

Playing on the Friday night gives us more time to rest and recover before we play Colchester. If Colchester do have a game on Saturday, it gives us the advantage.

Do you mean the two games that weren't advertised?

I can't for the life of me imagine why ther is no increase in customers when a business doesn't tell anyone about a sale it is having.

I liked how for the community game the only place in the programme that I could find out about the pricing was tucked away in the supporters trust section. There's something slightly wrong there if you ask me.

    What fans?

Suddenly there's an uproar when yesterday no one could be arsed cos it was a crap draw and too far to travel. funny how today every man and his rotweiler was going to go until it got moved. great way to get a club motivated by being awkward and refusing to cooperate on the arrangements.

Barnsley: "Can we have 300 tickets please?"
    Southend: "Is that all?"
    Barnsley: "Yep."
Southend: "Any chance we can move the game to Friday?"
    Barnsley: "Nope."
    Southend: "Nice one."
