    they are already qualified for the Champions league. So will Villa get a Europa league spot as that is usually given to the FA cup winners. ? Or will it go to the next in line in the Premiership table ? is that Southampton ?

    It was exactly the same situation last season and Hull City went into the qualifying rounds for the Europa League. Unless the rules have been changed then Villa should do the same.

    The rules changed this year. Villa would have been in the UEFA cup if they had won, but defeat handed the place to Southampton.

    I think they have moved the goal posts this term Kev

    so Villa get nowt it would seem. and yet West Ham get a Euro slot based on this fair play nonsense.
