that I thought I had to post this about two little lads aged 8 and 10. They are staying on a camp site quite close to where my mother in law lives. Now she's no spring chicken and walks her dog for miles each day. These two boys wished her good morning one day and mentioned that they had seen her walking a long way with the dog and asked if they could accompany her. She duly checked with the boys parents that it was ok and every morning since, they have walked with her, listened to her tales of old and asked questions about the countryside, farming and rural life.

Those two little lads have made a very old woman happy over the past two weeks.

Its a falacy about the poorly behaved youth. Every generation bemoan the youngsters. I remember being shown a paragraph that stated how civilisation had no future because of the lack of morals of respect shown by kids etc. The amazing thing was everyone thought it had been written there and then, but it was dated 400 bc!!!

It's always good to hear stories like this Cazi, thank you for posting it. Sad thing is, that these 'good' stories dont sell newspapers.

    No news is good news!

    Very true.

All over the world the vast majority of people are taking care of each other and quietly raising their families. There's a lot of love about, it's just not very newsworthy.

However I was wondering how successful a programme called The Good News might be. They could start with an international story, then a national one, then a little one like a good deed someone had done for a neighbour. Cazi's story would be a good example.

    I reckon I'd watch it.

Of course there were badly behaved children in the past. The difference today is that there are more of them and they are more vicious.
