explain please

just because a deal doesn't happen doesn't mean we are a joke-there are plenty of reasons why a deal may not have happened-a large number of which are outside BFC's control

    The only explanation Paul

is that 'Dragon' 'Tyke' is attention seeking.

The only one we haven't signed that I genuinely got pissed off over was Chopra

Hands up if you really thought we could've competed with Cardiff for Chopra's wages?

    I disagree.

It looks to me like the main reason almost every deal falls through is that BFC are offering less than the competition and being outbid by clubs such as Colchester, something very much in their control.

Meanwhile attendances are falling and we're dropping through the table like a stone.

    Me

One player we could have had, would have performed and would have fitted in with AR's team.

Likely would have taken lower wages here than at Cardiff if we had tried.

    Box office.

    I disagree.

I think that we need to take a long term view.

The side we have is good enough to stay up, we've dropped six points recently because we've been very unlucky. The side we have has shown itself to be capable of taking points in this division - and no it's not going to be glorious and it might run close, but we have to appreciate that we don't have the resources to simply buy success. Other clubs that we don't respect may have a better financial positions than us or they may be willing to gamble their shirts to bring short term gains - we can't go down that road. We need to survive this year with moderate spending, and add to the squad over a gradual period of time.

I agree to some extent and also...

we know that the goals we would certainly have scored would have won games we have lost or drawn otherwise.

That being said, if we couldn't afford him, we couldn't afford him. Too bad. We couldn't afford Michael Owen or Alan Shearer either.

A lack of investment in the team will be the downfall.

AR will be left to carry he can for Shepherds ill judgement.

Aye get publicity Pete back. He knew how to get a player by offering a good wage. Seth Johnson anyone?
