.......and everyone's pretending to have believed we needed to strengthen all along, the question remains - who's really responsible for our failure to bring in new talent?

There are probably only a few people who know the truth.

Both Richie and Shep are saying different things. Maybe we should get them on Jeremy Kyle and do the lie detector test.

Based on the season's early performances...

I still think the core of the current squad is good enough to stay up - granted the fatigue, injuries and lack of competition are all beginning (have begun) to tell.

I supported Ritchie when he decided to keep faith with the promotion squad - I don't mind admitting that's proved a bit short sighted but I think Ritchie saw that sometime ago and has been targeting players ever since. There's very few on here who would've NOT wanted to see the likes of Kazim-Richards in a Red shirt and there's very few on here who would've complained had we brought in the right players at the right price.

I still applaud Ritchie for not signing any old ***** just 'cos they were available and I applaud the board for not going daft with the limited resources we have. There appears to be a growing desire at BFC to make the box-office signings that were promised and I hope they do.

Have a look through the archived posts - I think you'll find a whole host of discussion about potential signings and the lack of quality in certain areas. The difference between those discussions and the ones you're alluding to is that we didn't have to put up with the self-righteous ramblings of people who have assumed an easy position on which to be proved right.

We ALL knew it was going to be tough, fourth from bottom was what most people HOPED for, let alone realistically expected - show me a post that says anything significantly different. Some of us got a bit carried away with some of the decent results early on in the season but that's what being a fan's all about - I suggest some folk on here ought to try it one day...

Oh, and in answer to your question...

I doubt we'll ever really know the answer to that. People have taken sides with either Ritchie or Shepherd but I doubt either one is as bad as their respective detractors make out.

I find it difficult to believe that Ritchie has refused the players he's targeted solely on principle (if the board have "made" them available) but I think it's fair to say he's refused players (who we could've afforded) on the basis if them not being good enough.

One of the main stumbling blocks to signing players is simply the fact that we aren't Birmingham or Cardiff...

    RE: Are you Winston Smith?

Don't think so mate. You mean as in a "we are not at war with Eurasia" sort of thing? If you've owt specific you want to challenge me on then please, go ahead...

After you've spent the past few days avoiding giving me any definitive answer on our recent debate do you not think you're a bit cheeky accusing anyone of wriggling?

That said, I suspect there's a good reason for that...

    Unsurprisingly....

.....you're still in the dark. Get someone who is actually clued up to explain it to you, Googling doesn't work.

I gave up "debating" with you because you don't debate. You argue against things I haven't even said. You assume, dodge and change the subject, magnify trifles and trifle with magnitudes until your contribution looks like it's been dovetailed in from a different conversation. It's like talking to a tree.

You're obviously now on some sort of psychological trigger "Eyup - it's Windy! Disagree!" Trick is to first read and digest what it is you think you're disagreeing with mate, that way you don't sound pissed.

You obviously think you're a clever boy and you say what you're thinking very well. The problem is what you're thinking usually belongs to a "debate" that's only going on in your head.

You come over at best a bit barmy and at worst a bit dim.

Now **** off and pick on someone your own size.

    RE: Unsurprisingly....

No mate - I'm on a psychological trigger of people describing taking photos of folk going about their daily business and posting them on web-sites in order to stir **** up as "poking fun". Like a little boy's prank...

The post has just cropped up again - have another read 'cos it's there in black and white. This could've ended this over the weekend had you simply accepted that there was more to RIG's comments and behaviour than just jokes - instead you accuse me of being a pedant then make some childish remark about him being a "bad boy". And then you have the cheek to accuse me of wriggling!

"You come over at best a bit barmy and at worst a bit dim" - you're a very poor judge of character fella, that's all I say...

All this stuff about Islam you spout, I'd take it a lot more seriously - that is actually believe your concerns were about culture clashes and terrorism and not just good, old fashioned prejudice - were you to take actual, on the colour of skin racism a little bit more seriously...

Right - I've done - I'll leave you to it...

I'll try to give it to you in bite size pieces. Maybe that'll help.

I never said RIG was "poking fun," that's one of things you made up when you got hysterical.

I don't particularly give a **** about the ramblings of a silly little boy but I never said they were "just jokes." Again that's you getting flustered.

You may get race, religion and culture mixed up mate but I don't. I'm concerned about the spread of a fascist organisation, not a race.

I don't have to display my moral loveliness by constantly gibbering on about racism as if it's the only evil in the world. You go ahead if you like, I'm sure the rest of the ILRTYB one-trick-ponies are suitably impressed.

Any chance of you digesting any of that?

"Do you also have your knickers in a twist regarding the hundreds of comments poking fun at the French, the Irish, the Germans etc that have appeared on this board over the years or do you only do Muslims in the BMBC ILRTY department?"

I'm sure you did because RIG is exactly what the BMBC have got involved about and this is your response to their involvement...

You've got your ideas about me fella, it's increasingly clear that my ideas about you were right first time so I'm not sure there's owt else to say.

You can have the last post if you like...

Still here? I thought you'd done.

Where, in your twilight world of understanding do I say RIG was "poking fun?" You appear to be able to read words but not understand what they mean.

Your opinion of me was formed out of your inability to distinguish between race and religion. My disdain is for the cult not for those unfortunate enough to be born under its heel. Don't worry, you're not the only one on here to make that mistake. I suppose could explain myself in single syllable more often but I don't have much time for the hard of thinking.

    Well...

In the bit where BMBC get involved regarding racist comments and you ask them if they also "have [their] knickers in a twist regarding the hundreds of comments poking fun at the French, the Irish, the Germans etc" - the implication, by your very words, been that they are only investigating people who are "poking fun" at, and here you say "muslims", despite the posts not been aimed just at Muslims. Which gives the impression that you think the BMBC are only investigating people "poking fun" at "muslims" - which they aren't, 'cos those posts weren't...

    It isn't rocket-science...

I wouldn't have made such a big deal of it had you admitted, from the time it was pointed out to you, that the posts weren't just "poking fun" at "muslims".

Just wanted to clear that up...

    See ya bro, peace out!
