I've read that four times and my head hurts. What does it mean?

    That may look better ....

    ..... I can't type.

It was just an observation based on the fact that Andy Ritchie has just said on 'Goals on Sunday' how stupid it is to give players a bonus for scoring goals.

It's not good for the club, but it can be highly lucrative for a good centre-forward.

It can be good for the club

if you give a lower basic but they can make it up with goals,

    e.g. £1000 a week plus £500 a goal
better than giving them £1300 a week

You give the player the incentive to make more money if they score than they would otherwise have done. The player though needs to be getting more than a goal every other game to be better off, and if he's doing that its beneficial for the club as well.

Like when Dyer was on £1000 a goal and stepped up for penalties

Don't care if it means they are scoring them
