I have been quite impressed with our winter signings.
On paper we seem to have filled the gaps most needed, and hung on to JCR, which was an eleventh hour relief, becauseI thought he might be going.
Boggsy made a decent first impression, and now these three new ones have had the benefit of a postponed match to take time tomeld with the team and perhaps take us upwards from hereon.
Well, of course that's what we all hope. There areno guarantees.
I dunno what to expect Saturday. We're on the cusp of being absorbed into the relegation mire as it is, our pre transfer window players were sadly lacking and not delivering, this has to be the last throw of the dice. I hope it pays off.
But with possibly 25% of the squad virtually brand new, untried, untested, previously unseen by fans, and under the utmost scrutiny from the more critical eyes of the Ponty End, I hope to God that it all pays off and comes together, because it's crucial that it does.
Palace are on the slides and are likely to make a good fight of it. It's likely there'll be no prisoners - and I for one am gonna be a bit nervous on Saturday.

I can't see the match played on Saturday with the current conditions. Forecast says cold tomorrow and not much better on Saturday so snow and ice still be around the ground but not on it.
