McCann - rubbish to start with, but has picked up over the last 2 or 3 games. Might turn out to be a decent player, but needs more experience

Knight - Pile of poo who is not good enough for this league, didn't do much when he was here

Wallwork - looked decent, strong in middle of park, but hard to comment after only a couple of games for us

Reid - quick off the mark runs round alot but struggles to find a man when crossing the ball. was running away from the ball and himself on saturday!...not my favourite!

Ferenczi - defending from the front, gets up and down the pitch, will run forever. a good signing

Rajczi - another one who will run through brick walls for the team, don't rate him as much as Stan, but works hard

Eckersley - not seen that much of him, has done ok for us, but imho is no better than the defenders we already have at the club

Jones - looks like Jim Carrey! hasn't done much, except be bench warmer. needs more of a run out. looks decent in training

mattis - feel sorry for him, highly rated at Bury, but isn't good enough for this league, although he has had to put up with a lot from 'fans' shouting abuse every time he gets the ball, so can't feel like he's wanted

Lucas - hasn't had a run in the team, then when he finally gets handed his 1st start he gets injured! unlucky!! hard to tell, but not holding my breath!

nyatanga - wise above his years! good at the back, holds the line well, makes the occasional mistake but he's only young. shame he will go at the end of the season


We've got loads of players who have come in since Ritchie, with only 1 or 2 getting a game. Seems abit daft if you ask me, paying wages to lads who never get a game and surely can't be happy not even making the subs bench each week. The squad is too big, and there's no real fight for places cos Davey sticks to more of less the same team every week (except Derby Lucas for Colgan) Not having a go, just think it's silly having a huge squad when we haven't git alot of money to start with!

 

McCann - Could be decent but is he any better than what we had? Tonge/howard?

Knight - worse than we had

Wallwork - he could tackle and that was it. no improvement on what we had

Reid - Has the headless chicken effect. No better than what we had

Ferenczi - good signing

Rajczi - good signing

Eckersley - no better than what we had

Jones - no better than what we had

mattis - makes nicky wroe look like a world beater

Lucas - hard to comment

nyatanga - good player but is he better than kay? and atkinson was just coming into form
