What a performance!! 55 years old, and I cried like a bairn when the whistle went!! When I saw the Chelsea team, I was fearful that we would be under the cosh. But the lads rose to the occasion, and matched them in every way!! Chelsea can't say it was a weak side. That side would have given anyone in the Premiership a game. But we met them head on, and came out on top. And I am so so pleased for Kayode. I didn't go to the meeting on Wednesday, but I heard he was superb. Today, he gave Carvalho and Terry a helluva time. And the goal was a beauty. He outjumped Cudicini. No Chelsea players appealed. But the whole team deserve praise for a fantastic performance. I thought it couldn't get any better after Anfield. BUT EACH TIME, IT GETS BETTER AND BETTER!!

...and what a stormer of a game Hassell had I think he must have watched In the Line of Fire last neet because he was flinging himself in front of shots like a bodyguard in front of the president. Davey has taken some stick playing Hassell in preference to Togwell but today he came up trumps.
