ok, very well structered, however, it seems to me like the club are going to be limiting the crowd. General sale and still need 1 ticket stub, seems to me that there are only gonna be about 10 - 11 k reds fans at oakwell then. Piss up brewery comes to mind. Ahwell, looks like if thats the case then the local pubs will benefit from the clubs being silly.
We have far more seats than we have fans with season tickets or ticket stubs. It's impossible for us to sell out.
Not according to the ticketing information on the official site General sale requires one ticket stub.
Not sure if it's that bad Should increase the gates for the Ipswich and Bristol games, so that people can get a stub. I'm sure that eventually the tickets would be on general sale with no restrictions though, once everyone has had a chance.
That's the way I read it too My point is I can't believe it will stay like that right up to the day before the game. Surely, eventually, tickets will be on free-for-all general sale.
Maybe we will have a surge of sales on Ipswich tickets, to get the stub. Does seem a bit strange though. Might go on general sale without a stub on the Tuesday and Wednesday morning?
They can make further announcements based on how sales are going There's over a week from that date to the game. People have already commented about Man Utd fans maybe trying to get tickets in home end, so at least this way the club are doing all they can to prevent that
Disagree on the piss up in brewery comment As thing stands we are trying to ensure Barnsley fans fill up the home end and not locally based Man U fans. It will encourage a few extra at the next home games - always a good thing. It rewards those that have supported the team in the cup already this season. They are also using it as an additional sell for the sportsmans dinner - good bit of marketing. It also clearly states at the bottom "The above ticket information is correct at the time of publication and is subject to change and amendment depending on demand and availability of tickets. More updates will follow as appropriate. All categories are subject to availability." So additional category's can be added as required.
This one Can't see where the problem is personally. Any Barnsley fan who wants to go should be able to get a ticket. Any Barnsley based Man U "fans" can get their tickets from Old Trafford according to their category policy.
RE: That's the way I read it too I can see them allowing people to buy a ticket who are already on the club's database.
I know lads that travel all over the country week in and week out who have said at that price that will not be going to watch man u reserves
whys that expensive wolves paid 41 to watch man u reserves which was on tv too and to whoever it was who said no chance of sellin out 6.000 man u fan 10.000 season ticket holder nearly every1 will go that leaves 7,000 for a full house
