incident. OK, what are they supposed to do when faced in these situations? They can't shoot at the torso in case it sets off the bombs that the suspect may be carrying, they can't use a Tazer as the electric current could detonate the bombs, so what else can they do?? Leave them to detonate the bombs and possibly kill other innocent bystanders??? Seems a no win situation to me.
What ever they do some "hindsight, should have done that" merchant like that smarmy ******* Nicky Campbell will be wringing his hands. If they know what's to be done they why not point out the problems BEFORE they occur !!!It's all part of the blame culture !!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!(blagger) (blagger) (furious)
Who's criticised the Tazer use? Not the Mail by any chance Wouldn't surprise me. Tazer is just what we need imo, especially in this situation we find ourselves in re suicide bombers.
What I can't understand is this claim by some that five bullets to the head is "excessive." Dead is dead. You can't get any more excessive than that. It wouldn't have made any difference if he'd run over his head with a sixteen wheeler. If you set out to kill someone you make sure you do it. The fact is that the rounds used in these situations are very low velocity and aren't even certain to pierce the skull. This is to protect the innocent. I can just imagine the bleating if a bystander had been injured.
Maybe we should take lessons from the Russians The do gooders would have a right to complain if we handled our terrorist situations like the Russians handle theirs!
And the thing doing the bleating would have been the Mail.. probably along the lines of "loony lefties" and "dogooders" cause police to hesitate and allow bombers through....
