This is no longer about Brexit. This is about what kind of country we want. If we allow this to happen it is the end of parliament democracy and we effectively become a dictatorship. The day that one man can overrule parliament is a dark day indeed. This last man who did this was Charles I during the '11 year tyranny' and this led to the civil war. Forget Brexit, there are now two new sides and we will all need to choose where we stand, democracy or tyranny. Buckle up !!!!

The Irony of calling Corbyn a Communists by the very people who are taking and imposing A full blown Communists advice by over ruling and bypassing a democratically elected Parliament ?
This is now more than Brexit as Pompey red has said its taking control of our constitution .
One poster had said it’s because out MPs won’t allow Brexit which is a rubbish , MPs won’t allow an unruly Brexit which is a big difference and want the people to have a say on whether it goes through or not .
They havnt got a mandate to push through any Brexit they want , a 2.5% majority demands the respect of the close race it was and an orderly Brexit be demanded with the final say.
Our MPs need to take back control now from this muppet that’s being played by an undemocratic full blown Communist .

What do you actually do for a living? Not interested in your employer, just general industry sector? - Just wondering how long you have left in work before you change your tune.

He’s probably retired. There are two general types of retired people who are comfortably off. Those who care about other people and those who don’t.

I’ve worked in quarrying most of my career, suffered greatly when construction output fell by 42% owing to the labour partys mismanagement of the economy during the banking crisis. Whats that got to do with anything ??

There is clearly a certain amount of game-playing here. I don't think Boris is susceptible to any court challenge on this - it's something he has power to do as head of the executive branch. And it probably results in a win-win for him. If he's stopped he gets his People v Parliament election. If he wins he gets to ram his Brexit through and increases the chances of a deal - if a deal is his true aim. Can't help but feel also that Farage's apparent show of strength yesterday may have helped to prompt this today.

    Raging lefties.

Moan about closing parliament being undemocratic yet the reason parliament is being closed is because a large minority of MPs have totally disregarded the democratic decision of the people and even of there own constituents. Oh the irony!
