isnt williamson out of contract in the summer though?

Depending on the date that his contract expires, isnt it possible that he is now in the final 6 months of his contract and so allowed to talk to any club that wants to sign him in the summer? That would make it up to the player whether or not he signs (nobody said when he'd sign) but doesnt mean that rotherham accept our offer.
