This season's points per game stats.

    Barnsley with Howard..........0.57ppg
    Barnsley without Howard....1.54ppg

    Sheff Utd without Howard....1.92ppg
    Sheff Utd with Howard..........1.13ppg

And we actually get paid for them to take him. Looks like a good bit of business to me.</p>

Harsh- he's a quality Championship player without fail. We all know that, i.e. last Season's goals.

The problem is he needs a quality player at side of him to make him look good, without hes very very average !

Fair comment i suppose- he had De Silva with him till February and he was outstanding in that period (one of the best in the league), then we had Sam Togwell and Bobby Hassell along side him and his consistency dropped a fair amount. I think he has Gary Speed this year? Don't really know much about him- experience there i suppose for Howard to roam forward, still not a patch on De Silva though!

Having said that I would take him back a midfeld of De Silva, Colace, JCR and Howard would take some beating.
