I don't know anything about the fella really! Is he a unit, pacey, skilful, poacher, finisher or what? What sort of striker is he? Can you see him complementing Davies? Anyone know?
He will be the best thing since sliced bread until he leaves , then he will have been **** since he joined us and no-one will ever have liked him. I have no idea as to what kind of player he is, I only know that he scored some goals for Rochdale, got transferred to Scunny moving up a league, did not score many goals for them, but works hard, then moved to us. Whether he will be good enough to play in this league we shall see. I will leave the bigging up of him to people like Whitey who have obviously seen him play numerous times and can tell us how great he is.
Bigging him up? Where, when? I have seen him against us, seen him for Dale twice, and on the box like anybody else. Once against Manure in the cup actually. And as I have said, I am more than happy with his arrival, to work with a manager who he had great success with before. He can play all across the front line, and works his bag off like O'Brien and Perkins. That is all I know, and all I said. Other than welcoming him. Stop name-checking me in your negative posts. Thanks. Yours, Whitey
Excuse me matey, how is that a negative post? You said in your post on the other thread you had seen him play, which is what I repeated, you said he wqas good, which is what I repeated, I have never seen him play so I cant say anything other than what I read, whioch is what I already put. So where is the negative post bit? Thanks yours Pissed off of Wakefield.
He's younger, he'll graft harder, he'll score equally (5 to 10, probably more, goals in this division and also cost a fraction of what Gray does in wages so it looks worth the gamble.
I've been impressed with him in the past He was quite prolific at Rochdale; not so much at Scunny, but a hard worker none the less. Seems the sort of player Keith likes, should suprise a few people hopefully, just like Perkins, McNulty, Done etc.
Yes I'll go along with that.....regarding Done ..........I wouldn't say Done is a bad player.........but what I would say is that he dosen't seem to be as good as the rest of the Keeflicker signings
Re: I've been impressed with him in the past He's exceeded my expectations. Although when I saw Keef had released him from Rochdale I had none. Reckon he'll turn into a good player.
Re: I've been impressed with him in the past I think his lower league signings have been hit and miss too, l wouldn't certainly go spouting that Keith gets the lower league riff raff and turns them into gems. Perkins - Really impressed McNulty - impressed initially but he's had some poor games recently Done - Hit and miss Davies - impressed with his goals tally, which is why we bought him but not his general all round play Wiseman - similar to Done, ok going forward, l have kittens when he's defending. When everyones fit he shouldn't be in the starting 11. Vaz Te & Edwards aren't lower league players, and l think the main reason we are sitting on 33 points is because Keith has improved the Championship players that were already at the club. Steele, O'Brien & Butterfield the obvious ones. So l don't think we can point to the main reason we are where we are is because Keith can find a bargain in the lower reaches and mould them into a championship player. Dagnall - l will judge him when l see him play, on paper and looking at stats l'm a little disappointed but l've read he's not a goalscorer. if thats Haynes replacement, Haynes or Dagnall? l would have kept Haynes every minute of the day. But l'm sure Keith knows what he's doing and he's done a cracking job so far.
Re: I've been impressed with him in the past He's much better than I expected; not the best player, but far from the Rochdale reject we all expected
