I am not that bothered really. But if pushed maybe Watford, I like Zola and would like to see his post match comments on MOTD
Palace. 1. We owe them our support after they scored the goal that kept us in the Championship 2. The whole interchangeability of players between Watford, Granada, Udinese etc is just wrong and an abuse of the loan rules the rest of us have to play by.
so neither of the 2 goals at 'Udders kept us up then the season is 46 games mate, we got more points than Posh from those 46 games. We kept ourselves up.
Palace, for this reason. Edit - on the other hand there would be something pleasingly symbolic about Udinese reserves lining up in the Premier League next season. I think it would sum up nicely the farce that English football has become.
If it wasn't for the 3 points we got against Watford we wouldn't have had a chance of staying up more than likely No preference good luck to them both.
Hmmm...doesn't make a difference for the home game but do enjoy a trip to Selhurst Park more than to Vicarage Road so for away day purposes..Watford for promotion please
Crystal Palace for me, nothing for/against either of them. Watford's probably easier to get to though for the away game.
Palace for me The Watford way is just cheating IMHO and I think a bit worrying if it escalates lower league clubs could just become nursery clubs for any oversea mob with contacts or a bit of money.
Palace please...Watford are cheats, Palace did us a tremendous favour....and I've got a wedge on them.
Palace for me. That last minute goal didn't keep us up but it certainly changed our destiny - without it we were playing league one football next season. Oh and I think Watford's abuse of a loan loop-hole is borderline cheating.
Honestly don't mind. Palace for them helping us out on the last day and never minded them. But I sway toward Watford for 2 reasons, I used to occasionally go to watch them in the mid-80's when I was working down there. Saw them in the old 1st division a few times and was even a member because that was only way to get tickets for the big games against Arsenal, Man Utd etc. Then again you paid a fiver (I think it was) for the membership card but you got a free match ticket - you couldn't specify the game they just sent you it at random, I got a match against QPR. Also, got a mate who now lives in Halifax, met him whilst working in Halifax. And he's a Watford fan. Well, he's more a Halifax RL fan but he's been to a couple of Watford games at Oakwell with me, he was happy enough for us to win those games as it means more to me being a season ticket holder whilst he only sees 2 or 3 games a season, remember the last time they won the play-off final against Leeds. We were together in a bar in Amsterdam, us 2 and maybe only 3 or 4 others rooting for Watford in a bar otherwise full of Leeds fans! That was brilliant, and I was also trying to work out where in the stadium I would be the following week! I went round consoling Leeds fans and saying I'd see them at Oakwell next season!
Palace. They didn't keep us up, but they helped us out a feckload in maintaining our Championship status. Watford have borrowed success, Palace have developed it. Also, the Holmsdale Fanatics have brought back an atmosphere to their home ground by arranging displays, creating new songs and getting behind the team for 90mins. Can't beat that.
Palace because I respect their setup. They're the blueprint for clubs like us. Focus on youth talent, and focus on getting good rewards when selling them on. I also think their supporters are some of the best in the division. Great noise, great variety of songs, and they've been through as much **** as we have over the years. Also, we've both had Dyer, Miller, Redfearn and Shipperley. Hang on, so have Watford. Oh yeah, and a certain Jacob helped them to a few points this season.... EAGLES!
Watford and the 3/1 William Hills offer on them to win in 90 minutes with Matěj Vydra to score anytime looks good. The Wells/Bradford and Madden/Yeovil ones were winners.
Palace for me despite the fact I prefer going there than to Watford. I just don't like the way Watford have borrowed a whole team of Italians to get there. And palace also helped us over the line last match
