What an abysmal performance from England. I know it wasn't the first team playing but it really was rubbish, wasn't it?

What a sorry state of affairs when you see the likes of Milner in the starting eleven. Couldn't see a single redeeming feature about that team tonight and it's frightening to think what might happen against Germany next week. I know there will be changes but even so - another defeat on the cards for sure.

Oh and one other thing - we all complain about the tactics at Oakwell, but it's not just us is it? Watching England tonight, and the U21s last night, and they are just as bad as we are at some things. Pointless short passes from man to man, getting nowhere. Plenty of that on show at international level. Maybe it is just the way modern football is played. Not good to watch but it seems to be at all levels.

8 changes to the team and those like Rooney who played and know they will on tuesday took this meaningless friendly easy it seems. Glad I made the choice to watch Portugal versus Sweden.

Tonight was the first time I've bothered to watch an England game since the Euros. I won't be bothering again.
