With all the speculation surrounding Simon Davey and the likelyhood he will be our new Manager (why else would we appoint him an assistant) Should a new manager have not yet been appointed then he would appoint his own assistant, when he arrives.The managers position appears 'cut & dried' My honest opinion is we need a manager with experience of past campaigns not of future ideas.
